Damero Organizer Zipper Case for Crochet Hook and Accessories

Do you have plenty of ergonomic crochet hooks  and accessories, but no organized place to put them? Here’s your answer! This layered zipper organizer will hold your crochet goodies and keep them safe from the couch, pets, children…

Please note the case works best with the ergonomic hooks with the slightly padded handles (NOT the bubble handles). The holders are a little big for plain metal hooks unless you store several in one loop. They will also work for jumbo size hooks.

Stitch markers for all!!!

Did you know there are lots of types of stitch markers? So many to choose from! Of course, there are the solid ring type that don’t work as stitch markers for crocheters – though we can crochet around them for jewelry and embellishments. For crocheters, there are the split ring markers, but there are also the locking stitch markers that look almost like plastic safety pins. I love those little things! Not only do they work as stitch markers, but they also work for pinning parts together when you are seaming your work. They even make some with little clips on the bottom so if you are marking rounds and certain  stitches, you can write a note and clip it on; such as “dc2tog”, “3 dc” or “round”. Pretty nifty! I’ve found a variety of these markers for you and you can grab up some for yourself from the affiliate links below:

Shout Color Catcher Sheets… for your Crochet?!

Why am I sharing Shout Color Catcher Sheets on a crochet blog? Because they have made ALL the difference for me when using brightly colored yarns!

Have you ever made a lovely project in a lovely yarn, only to throw it in the wash and have the color bleed all over? Especially those gorgeous reds that just leave everything pink? The solution is Shout Color Catcher Sheets! Add one to the wash with your finished project and it’ll lock up loose dyes found in the wash water, preventing the dyes from running or bleeding onto other clothes, or sections of the project! They are safe for all colorfast washables and water temperatures, and can keep your project looking as good as did hot off the hook! Pick some up at the affiliate links below!

Lacis Umbrella Swifts – Awesome Versatility!

Umbrella swifts are great for holding your hanked yarn as you wind it. The can expand to just the size you need, and when you are done, you just close the umbrella style top and they take up very little room. I love a tool that puts itself away! The versatile handle on this metal swift will allow you to use it as winder or as an adjustable table clamp. Plus, the flexible, covered ribs make working with even the finest of threads fuss-free. Choose the regular-sized metal swift for skeins of up to 60” in circumference or the larger birchwood swift for skeins of up to 100”. Either way, the spokes will collapse with minimal effort for easy storage.

How Much Yarn is Left? Weigh It!

We all have them – half skeins, bits and ends – too much to throw away, but how do you plan a project when you don’t really know how much yarn you have on hand? The answer is a kitchen scale! Figuring out how much yardage you have left in your ball of yarn is easy when you weigh it.

Just look at the label and see how many ounces and yards (or grams and meters) it originally contained. Then weigh the remainder on your kitchen scale. Multiply the ounces/grams remaining in your ball by the original yardage/meters of the full skein, and then divide that total by the original amount the full skein weighed. The result is the length left in your ball!

Quicker and easier than a yardstick, and much better than getting to the end of a project and coming up 10 yards short! And best of all, kitchen scales are very affordable! Click the affiliate links below to find the best selling kitchen scales in your area!
