While watching a Craftsy class with Myra Wood on Freeform Crochet, I had to press pause and head over to Amazon to purchase one particular item she recommended. And I’m so glad I did! I just arrived this past weekend, and it’s already part of my crochet kit. The Rowenta Ultra Steam Brush is an 800-Watt handheld steamer that might have been designed to take the wrinkles out of your clothes, but more importantly it’s a fantastic way to steam your crochet! Take the brush off and it’s the perfect way to get your squares and motifs flat fast. With steam on demand, a quick refill opening, and a travel pouch, I’ll be taking it with me to the Knit and Crochet show for sure. Click the affiliate links below to get your own!

Just visited Amazon based on your recommendation. On the site they show a newer model for just a little more but also Prime and a $5 coupon.

I am wondering if this should be used on something crocheted with acrylic yarn? I have read that it shouldn’t be steamed.

Leaving a comment cause I forgot about notification on my original note.

You can steam it lightly, but too heavily and it’ll melt! With any new yarn, start with a little practice swatch. I steam acrylic and love the result, but you do have to use caution!
