Have You Tried Using a Lucet Yet?

April 22, 2015 by crochet envy Filed Under: notions and accessories, today's deal 1 Comment

At the 2014 Knit and Crochet Show there was a class on using the Lucet – a tool that predates crochet, used to make cord that’s perfect for embellishments. If you’d like to try a new way to use yarn, the Lucet is a fun way to do it – and great for drawstrings for your crochet items! Click on the affiliate links below to check out the Lucets available in your area, and then check out this tutorial from Stitch Diva Studios to see how it’s done!

Lucets are great tools and are easy to learn to use. Give it a try! Children seem to pick it up instinctively and make miles of cords. Girls love making scarves, purses, stuff for their dolls – rugs, clothes, accessories, etc. and boys love making things too. You can use one strand of yarn or several at a time and get so many different looks. It’s meditative….lulling you while you are watching TV or riding in a car. Very addictive!!
